Ready.

Set.

Go.

The cake never had a chance.....Now that we've seen the bride, it is evident that Chris didn't, either

Couldn't have got that last picture ( both of them lickin' the knife at the same time ) with a little dinky thing.

Good for you Chris. Now get an enlargement made to hang on the wall to point to and tell her "you knew when you married me what you were getting into!"

Congratulations. Buy any new knives on your honeymoon?

Chris bought his first HI khukuri when he was about 15 or so (as I recall and all know about my memory) and has been with us ever since. I think I talked with his mom about the first khukuri he got just to make sure it was okay. So, I guess we could say Chris has grown up with us.

And I hope we get to meet in Catoosa, Chris. After all these years we should meet in person.

Note to Safety Officier:

The correct way to lick the khukuri after cutting a wedding cake.

Rusty, I had a little cash left over from the honeymoon and I was able to get 2 UBDOTD's (nice village models!) Wal you are right I didn't have a chance! The only time I wear the pants in the house is when I have 2 khuks on my belt, one on each side!:p I was to busy to clean off the cake on the blade of my beloved AK, in the morning it had a little tarnish on it.:( I guess I just had something else that needed tending to that night if ya know what I mean!:D Yes Uncle Bill, I can't wait to finally meet you and the rest of the guys in Catoosa! It's about time!:)

I can't wait to show my wife these pics!
Then she'll know for sure I'm not the only one....khuk nut, that is.

Something that my dad picked up at a flea market. It's almost like an erasor, it takes the rust off, but it leaves scuffing, you then use some 000 Steel Wool and that does a great job of restoring the finish.

What panache! Definitely a great way to make the wedding memorable.

Thank you, Chris and your bride for sharing this moment with us knife knuts. ;):D

The S.O. heartily approves! :D

It will be twenty years ago a week from today that we ended up chasing my wife's brother down halfway across town to get her suitcases out of his trunk.

Not that night, but the following night she looked at her suitcases, pointed to one of the three, and told me "that's my mother's suitcase."

I thought nothing of it, having been raised where you come home, unpack, and stick the suitcase in the garage, til the next time. Next time you grab the one that's the size you need. No big deal. So I shrugged and said "So?"

My wife replied "Her clothes are in it!":D ;)

( Hell, only three suitcases? - I figured I got off lucky. Don't all women travel with three or four elephants to carry their luggage? )

Looks like Photopoint has bombed us again. I knew I should not have trusted that site. I'll look for a place for the pix tomorrow. I think the file is too long for the forum to handle.

Chris: Way to go! It's good to start off on the right foot. I'm certain that the rest of the fellow forumites will forgive you for allowing that pesky tarnish build-up to occur.;) :D BUT remember, the honeymoon is over.... preventative maintenance is a must! LOL.

Uncle: Photopoint was in-op earlier this PM but I was able to finally see the pics now. Definately worth checking back to see!

Chris - yahdikumu (A)llaah!

I guess you have broken the record - The 1st Wedding Couple In HI Circle To Cut The Wedding Cake With a 20" AK!

A great knife in a great occasion!

Howard - I suggest you to post this pict in your Q&A website and in your Khuk Book!

Pakcik Bill, Rusty, Yvsa, every body ... it's been a long time since my last post ... "Apa khabar semua?" (ie. Every body - How are you?).

I have no faith in Photopoint anymore and must stick to my guns -- don't use them.

Mohd, quit scaring us! You must quit going away for a month at a time. We all get worried.

Hi Pakcik Bill - It surprise me that you woke up so early to day! Alhamdu li (A)llaah ... I am still very much alive down here! Happend to be that lately I am involved with couples of egroups that caused me to spend lots of my times reading and replying so many emails! Now I know how tight your time are in reading and replying emails and postings in this forums!

Actualy ... I miss you all so much! My best regards to Makcik Ang Yangdu.

Mohd, It is good to hear from you again! If you can try and drop us a line more often! Till then take care!!:)
