I had a Shadow IV that I bought used on the forums. The front 3/4" or so had a red & blue coloring that I thought might be something wrong with the temper. I contacted CR Cust.Serv. with my concern and they said, "Send it in".
Less than two weeks later I got the knife back with a note stating that they tested the hardness of the tip and that it was OK. They also sharpened and totally refurbished it. I don't know how they did it, but even the marks on the finish are gone. If it weren't for the beat-up sheath and marks on the butt cap I couldn't tell it wasn't a new knife. And the coloring must have been ON the knife because it's gone now. They didn't even charge me return shipping.
How's that for Customer Service? Send your used knife in with a question and get it back in near-mint condition. Booyaa! :thumbup:
