Chris reeve green beret opinions

Hi, is the green beret 7" cpm s30v a good utility/combat knife ?
It is made in one of the best knife factories on the planet from an excellent steel. It is properly heat treated and ground. The handle scales are perfectly fitted and the knife is meticulously finished. An excellent and suitable sheath is also provided.

As to its ability to be a suitable utility/combat knife for you, that I cannot say. There are far too many variables to answer that question.
Personally I would not hesitate to carry one but my needs and requirements are no doubt very different from yours and I have never been in combat or in the military.

It is, in my opinion, a properly well made piece of kit. More than that I cannot say.

The edge is more likely to chip than the later S35 or S45 or current Magnacut, and there have been "tests," where it was easy to break the top. But this is a fighting knife with some utility. It's not meant to be beaten through logs with a baton, it's not a pry bar. It's meant to cut and stab people. It's meant to be able to do some light chopping for things like sector stakes or tent stakes. It's meant to slice and cut. It also won't be very good at carving spoons, but again, it's not meant for that.

I use a GB 5.5 in S35VN as my yard work knife, clearing tree branches, cutting vines, and the like. It's taken everything I've thrown at it with ease. Talked to Tim Reeve at Blade, and he said batoning shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know anything about the video...nor do I have any interest in them, by and large.

Any knife can be broken if that is the goal. I'm not sure what you're after. Maybe you should buy something inexpensive that you can test the limits of and not worry about if it breaks.

What do you actually plan to use the knife for? If you won't share that, this discussion is pointless and we'll just shut it down instead of wasting time going around in circles.

Userei questo coltello per il campeggio, un coltello multiuso. Ho diversi coltelli, tra cui il Bushcraft Team Gemini Light Brigade. Volevo solo sapere se qualcuno ha mai usato questo coltello per il bushcraft.

You're going to have to employ the translation services rather than forcing our members to do so in order to follow along. Sorry.

If it's not worth the trouble on your end, you can't expect it to be so on ours.

I would use this camping knife, a multipurpose knife. I have several, including the Bushcraft Team Gemini Light Brigade. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever used this bushcraft knife.

If you want to use it like you do your Busse, I would steer clear of the S30V version. The latest version of the Green Beret uses Magnacut which is much tougher that S30V, but not as tough as INFI.

What’s a Bushcraft Team Gemini Light Brigade? I have not heard of this nor do I think the TG (in any variation) is bushcrafty. The top quillion makes a lot of tasks not so pleasant when needing to choke up.

I had one and I think it would serve well as a utility/combat tool. Not my recommendation, especially at the price point. I would prefer and recommend a Busse TGULB, had one of those too and they a combat knife on steroids.
