Am I the only one that has been spending/overspending on CRK lately ??? Please tell me I am not alone !!!

I will say that saving for a small hand full, I have went almost exclusively CRK. I have tried Spyderco's, Benchmades, Strider's, Hinderer's.......all make some nice knives, but there is something about CRK that keeps me coming back.

Quality Materials, Fit & Finish, Design, Customer Service all exceed what everyone else has to offer. I must say Rick Hinderer is right up there with CRK, everyone else is a distant second.

I must agree, I got into CRK more than a year ago, and I thought I could do with less, tried spydero, benchmade, bradley and came right back to CRK, bought 3 small regular sebenzas in one week, dropped 1000 bux in a week on CRK and then sent them all away over a month and spent another few hundred on "upgrades"

+1 on that!

I have the addiction too, there is just something about the quality and precision of CRK knives that I can't get enough of. When I buy a CRK I know it's going to be perfect and on the off chance that it isn't I know CRK will take care of me. Rick Hinderer Knives are great but I just can't justify the aftermarket prices.

You are not alone. Until recently I owned 5 Sebenzas and and Umnumzaan. In the last few weeks I have bought 11 Sebenzas - all Classics and Regulars. (And a Hinderer). Wood is Desert Ironwood.

These two are incoming this week. Both Large. Wood is Macassar Ebony.

And no matter how many I have, even if I buy an identical one, I am still excited for it to arrive. It definitely is a sickness.

You and me are the mirror image of each other. I use to collect all the brands mentioned and stop with CRK but I can not stop coming back to CRK. They are pretty much the only knives I buy anymore. I probably had just a little over 100 of the other knives mentioned but Hinderer's are the only worthy opponents in my opinion.
BUT I know I have a problem and I KNOW yours is now worse than mine. How do I know? Because I almost bought that TiLock but backed out because Blade is around the corner. Someone came in right behind me and bought it. Hmmmmm.

I have been into CRK for a while. I have sold more than I can count trying to find the perfect custom. I own customs by a few makers, but I always go back to CRKs. I am down to 4, but that number will grow hopefully soon:D

You are definitely not alone! I have the CRK bug myself. I'm up to 4 with 2 on their way making it six! Might call it my six pack, just hope it doesn't turn into a case, but it most likely will given time! :D

One cure is to seriously overspend within a few months' time, then have to recover your saving account in time for summer vacation.

By cure, I mean "stay happily married". :o

I have spent that in a week also from time to time. It seems like I go in spurts. I will not buy any for awhile, then buy several at once. I sold a couple when I got bit by the Hinderer xm bug. But as nice as they are, I still come back to CRK. Its kinda hard to use a knife you pay $600-700 or more for. Dont feel as bad using a $300-400 CRK and I know for a very reasonable price, they will make it new again anytime I like........I am also a huge Ruger Firearm fan and I kinda liken CRK to Ruger. They make a knife for almost any application you could ask for, just like Ruger covers pretty much all the bases as far as guns go. They are all USA made with the highest quality materials and both offer excellent customer service.

The price is the killer for Hinderer's. If your able to get an xm-18 at the retail price of like $400, thats a steal for what you get, but they are not wirth double that.

11 Sebenzas.....And I thought I was bad......lol. I love the stars and stripes, one of my favorite designs that constantly eludes me. Also like the stonewashed sebenza. But for me personally, I like the grippy-ness of the sandblasted frame. One reason I sold my xm-18's that were stonewashed and kept the blasted frame one. Kinda like a Hinderer/Sebenza for me... :)

Me too, nothing like getting that package knowing your new CRK is in your hands.

I have NO idea what your talking about ;)

"Why have a Six Pack when you can have a Keg" right.....lol

My wife doesnt say alot. She did say that she noticed that I have had alot of packages coming in lately.......lol....and she kniws what they are. :) I sold some high price items on ebay that cut big time into some debt, so I think thats why she was not mad that I have bought some knives lately.......... PS..Sorry for being an ass last week, must have been crabby after getting home from work. Again, I apologize......Always enjoy reading your posts. :)

Whew! Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one! It's always nice to have others to share a sickness with isn't it? Lol

Thanks. You too. I really like that scotch brite finish on the Umnum!

You are not alone. I got the bug and it's not getting any better. Next up for me is the Umnumzaan.

You're not alone. My problem is I can't just keep it to CRK's. In the last 3 weeks, it's a small Sebenza, an Umnumzaan, a Spyderco Para D2, a Spyderco Manix CTS-XHP, a Spyderco Tenacious, a ZT0551, 3 Leatherman's, 1 SOG Multi Tool, and two custom fixed blades ordered. I have to take a break for a little while or I'm either going into rehab or getting divorced!!!!!! :-)

I'm glad I found the CRK anonymous meeting!
I was starting to think I was the only one with this problem but can now at least sleep a little better knowing others suffer the same affiction.
Whew, I feel better already. Now, off for my next fix.
