I have had many experiences buying knives from forumites, companies, dealers and yes, even purveyors, whatever that is!
I am posting an unsolicited comment here - Chris Reeve Knives (the whole company) provides the very best customer service, from top to bottom of any and all that I have dealt with.
This includes both their product, the technicians that are responsible for their products, their ordering and shipping departments. If, on very rare occasion, they make a mistake, however minor, they go out of their way to correct it, X 10. They haven't made any errors or mistakes on my transactions with them. In fact, on virtually every dealing with them, they have exceeded my expectations.
I don't currently carry or use any of their products simply because I am carrying/using other custom, single-maker knives. I still have some in my collection however and have used them in the past.
The reason I am posting this is that I believe they are unique in that every person in their organization knows their role and they seem to share the same mission and purpose during their time there. No one speaks beyond their area of expertise creating a situation that needs to be rectified later.
I have had to be a manager for a team of about 20 persons over a period of 7 years. I advise my wife in her business, which has 8 employees.
Achieving the strength of purpose and consistency of service that they have is a remarkable achievement.
