Hold your horses, bud. There are always two sides of the story. Indeed, the gentlemen here jumped to conclusions way too quickly, yet they were protecting interests of a fellow forum-mate. I presume if anything similar happened to you, Cliff, they would engage in the same behavior in order to protect YOUR interests. It feels kinda good to know that there are few goodfella's here, who will go out of their way to ensure that every transaction is honest and honored.

That said, I think Cliff here deserves an apology. Better judgement next time.

Cliff,

He didn't say he was interested, he said he'd take it (buy it). It looked pretty difinitive.

There were no attacks on you, only two members who said that they, (we) thought you should honor your deal. If aablades is ok with the outcome, it's a dead issue as far as I'm concerned. No need to leave forever.

Some people like to make conclusions w/o fully understanding situations. I can never expect people who do these things to make apologies.

Yes, looks difinitive when you say you want something then respond. But when you say you want something then don't get back as others have done, all the while another set of folks want it and are asking you how they can pay, how long must a person wait?

The real question here is how long is it reasonable to wait when someone says they want something. In my book, you say you want it, then take some action such as asking how you want me to pay for it. Not just saying I want it.

Repeat. See my swap meet analogy above.

Cliff,

If you feel unjustly hung out here and your feelings have been hurt, I apologize. That was never my intention. I was only looking at the thread to begin with as it seemed like a good deal on a Sebbie. I probably wouldn't have commented at all had you not posted that you'd both agreed to a transaction and then you canceled it. You are correct, both Ren and I used only the information available on the public forum to draw our conclusions. What other information could we use? None of us have access to anything other than what is posted. Perhaps a little more detail on your part about what had transpired would have prevented any of us from thinking this deal was handled distastefully.

It is not my habit to pounce on people or try to damage anyone's reputation. It would appear that at least two members saw the thread and thought enough to note (independently) that we thought the deal should be done as agreed. As I noted in my last post, if aablades is ok with it all, so am I. You're probably a great guy and as we live so close, our paths might well cross at a local show or event. I'd rather not have you thinking I'm just some a hole, so please accept my deepest apologies.

I accept. You are a gentleman. I will continue to post here. I didn't want theis thread to be a hot topic, especially in the sale/trade section of the forums.

I really didn't want to leave as I love this forum and it's so educationl, but I fully intended to if, as I mispercieved, people were here to stomp on others.

I suppose misperception my be had everywhere.
