Chris Reeve Sebenza (Small Classic w/ Micarta Inserts)

Thanks for the write-up. The success of the Sebenza is truly remarkable, and I always feel quite proud when I see how well-loved it is, as Chris Reeve grew up in my home town and came from very humble beginnings. I know he hasn't forgotten his home either, as he often visits out here (his parents still live in SA).

I would love to own a Sebenza myself, but for some reason the opportunity has never presented itself. One day!

His life is very interesting, I knew about his knives for a logn time, but it wasn't until I decided to purchase this knife that I looked him up, and found out he grew up in SA...and I never really gave the name sebenza much thought either, and then I found out its a Zulu word for work, My grandfather was big historian and when I stayed with him he would make me watch all kinds of informative videos and older movies, and my favorite one was Shaka Zulu! So to me the whole thgin is just interesting!

Why not try to e-mail him. His business is run in my town, must say the shop area is smaller than I thought it would have been but the work area is HUGE.

Well, I have met his parents. On one of his visits out here, I heard via the grapevine that he was in town and had some knives with him for sale, so I figured - why not?

The knives were at his parents place so I went roudn there and visited with them for a while. He only had fixed blades, and I chose a Project I. Got it at a very good price too.

It was great to meet his parents, who are obviously very proud of him, but unfortunately the man himself was on a day trip with friends. My wife was with me otherwise I would have hung around all day until he got back :D
