Chris Reeves Walking Sticks

As far as I know, CRK has put that project on hold. But you can bet when they get around to it again, there will be plenty of nice new walking sticks.
How about a little eye candy to hold you over?

Jason

BTW, they are not my pics, I just copied them to drool over.

I am now severely arthritic and would really like one. That one of yours is a true beauty.

Originally they where in the $300 range, recently I saw some for sale for over $800.

I just missed out on one. I had placed an order back when they were making them. I kept checking on the status and was told I was on the top of list and they had started on it. I did another follow-up and that was when they told me that they would not be able finish it and had stopped making them. So close, so close. Hopfully they will be offered again.

If CR isnt making them anymore and you would be interested in titanium walking sticks, check out knifemaker Tom Anderson, he does some incredible stuff.

I called Chris Reeves Knives and talked to Anne. She said that the question of making the sticks again has never really been taken off of a back burner. She said that they are always rethinking the decision to stop making them and that, lately, there seems to be an increase in interest. So, if we were to make that increase in interest even clearer..........

The company I used to work for did air gauging for different medical companies. One of those companies was Howmedica. They manufacture titanium balls for artificial hip joints. I used to ship them out so I always got a chance to handle them. Jump ahead about a year....I went to the New York Knife Show and CRK had some of the walking sticks on the table. As Chris was explaining to me how they were made I mentioned that the Ti balls looked similiar to the balls that we air gauge for Howmedica. Turns out that CRK bought the slightly off Ti balls from them for use one their walking sticks.

OK, I want one too! long story short...make more!!!! PLEASE!?

Ron, if you really wanted one, you should have gotten the one at the last NY show, it was only $900-something. :)

next time I claim you as "my Dad" and you can buy it for me? May 10th is my bday brother!...I mean Dad!

I have seen two or three for sale on other forums in the last four months or so, they all seemed to be in the $800 range.

I want one for use with my arthritis and not for bloody collecting. I do not intend to make a display item out of it, so I am not about to pay that kind of price for one just so that it can get beaten up by the use it will receive.

RGC, Thanks for the lead. I was willing to go the minimum of $350, but someone beat me to it and then I got busy on Monday and missed the deadline. I can live with lesser canes. But thank you very much anyway.
