Regarding my previous post describing my bent handle dilemma.

Be pleased that all is well. We steamed it, and clamped it over a couple of blocks about 1" over true. Well, it is all but dead straight. You can't eyeball the sway, but on a flat surface you can see it, just a bit. Anyway, pop was SO pleased, but tried to say his handle is just fine, only a bit "weathered". I told him that either HE would remove that handle, or WE would remove it, or I will throw the whole thing in the river. So now WE have a project. Which suits me fine. He'll be 70 in Feb. Lord willing, and a chance to do a project with my dad is well worth contending with his impractical and overdone frugality. THEN he can help me totally rework a very worn Double Bit, True Temper Kelly Perfect, he got me about 3 years ago for $3.00 from a junk shop.

Will post pics when the job gets going.
