On monday i bought it and noticed that Bushman5 also picked one up..i couldnt wait for mine to arrive and the pics of his bushcraft made it even worse.

By far the most comfortable knife ive ever held and used..There is no fault on the entire knife..all the grind lines are perfect, everything was done very very well.

Congrats. That is a beautiful knife. Thanks for the photos. Hope you post some more photos for the review.

nice score.. i like them with the micarta handles.. i recently parted with my wood handled version from the first run...

Whilst I'll never be a Scandi fan that is the nicest looking Scandi worker I've seen to date. I've seen numerous pretty ones, and even the first Spyderco offering wasn't borne too ugly, but none of them appear as business-like as this. I really hope Spyderco follows up on their initiative a dominates this area of the market too. I suspect they could attract a lot of the market that failed Gerber / Grylls was pitching at here if they released a 13C26 version [or similar] for about £50 GBP.

The sheath is neat too. Kinda reminds me of older Chris Reeve examples. Very refreshing. I've lost track of how many of these sorts of knives ship with a sheath with dye that looks like a child finger-painted it, passed off as deliberately distressed. From what I can see here this looks like genuine horse tack quality, or quality one wouldn't mind ones boots coming in. Excellent.

Congrats on your new Beck... I mean... Spyderco! :D

Nice knife!
The sheath in no way appeals to me at all.

Let me rephrase that:
That knife is AWESOME. Congrats.
The sheath design is not there yet. I realized the plastic insert dulls the scandi edge if I am not extremely careful when I sheath the knife. Even with the extra care, there is still contact with the edge. It shouldn't be that way.
Anyone else has this issue?

Metal should win over plastic ever time. I havent had that prolem as of yet.

I love how simple everything is i find the knife and sheath to be just right...on the note of sheaths- I hate the fallkniven plastic sheaths...yet they are 100% functional.

the knife was 219.00 canadian currency, taxes in and shipped to my door. Courtesy of Jay and the best knife store on the planet Warriorsandwonders.com

Nice knife !! Certainly a great addition to anyone's knife collection.

Including mine :D:D

Here it is to another recent addition: Blind Horse Knives Bushcrafter, 0-1 steel , thinner stock grips, Black micarta. I'm totally happy with these knives. Best quality ever.

I'm not worried about the plastic insert. The Spyderco leather sheath is one of the best I've come across for a factory sheath. Holds the knife securely and is very heavy-duty and thick. Myself, Guardian A1 , and Bushman 5 just bought the last 3 of them in Western Canada , I believe. Hopefully , more will become available in the future . I think it will become a popular knife .

Wow, The way Spyderco sharpens a knife, I bet that grind is really sharp.

Incredibly sharp knife. Scandy grinds can be a little thin at the edge. I plan to put a micro-bevel on mine. Very slight though ; just a few strokes on a loaded strop. The nice thing about scandy grinds is you can lay the whole bevel flat on the stone to maintain the sharpening angle.

:)

That fatwood on the lanyard is neat also. Did it come with that?

i actually made that for the knife before it even got here..its a solid piece of fatwood with a hole drilled in the middle, coated in clear nail polish. pretty unique.

That's a cool idea for a lanyard! I actually thought it was a piece of bone :)

I'm in the market for a bushcraft knife and have considered the Spyderco Bushcraft. Is the handle very thick on this knife?

Does anyone have pictures of the handle profile of the Spyderco Bushcraft compared to Fallkniven F1 or the Enzo Trapper (taken from the side and from above).

Thanks!
