Guess I'm officially a member of the Hinderer family. Hope I don't lose points for using CRK cloth as backdrop :)

Nice ! I like it in yellow.

You going to leave it tip down or put the clip on the other end?

Nice little non-flipper.

About the CRK cloth---it exists in part to appear in photos with knives by all makers. It's marketing genius.

I'm going to switch the clip so I have the lanyard option. Any idea what tool works: my eyes aren't good enough to see if they are Torx or allen or something else.

Congrats on your score. It's an outstanding eye full. What a great colour combo. Hope you'll give us some impressions when you get a bit acquainted with it. Have fun with your video project BTW.

5/64" allen, and the clip needs a # 1 or 2 phillips screwdriver.

The only thing that sticks out is that because it was made to be ambidextrous both sides where the thumb goes are scalloped. So it is a little harder to reach over with your thumb to push the frame lock to close the blade. Does that make sense? With a Sebenza, for example, the frame lock side is higher. I'll get used to it. I can't keep from fondling it.

I went with yellow because it is less common. I may get a bright blue scale to try, as well.

But no 3.5 in my immediate future, Lone_Wolfe. I'm officially broke.

Oh..it is a little Phillips head...

And...if you get a "sticky" filler tab, remain calm...there is at least one thread here on the topic. It can be gently coaxed out using the little Allen key to help free it from the recessed area that houses it.

You mean, in the thread holes of the clip? Hmmm. My only real fear is stripping a screw, so I will be very careful. Hopefully they aren't real tight.

Welcome to the family! I'm a tip down carry fan - doesn't allow for a lanyard but the flipper bugs me in pocket. Just my .02

Clip reverse. Was easy. Next up, changing scales like it is a Barbie doll...well, you know what I mean.

I'm also thinking of having a professional grind down both my black and yellow to half their width, and putting them on as a sandwich with black on top (or blue), with yellow showing as a inner layer. Thoughts? This is addictive.

BW, I'm flipper-less, so that's no problem. I may not do a lanyard, but now I have the option. Thanx for your thoughts, though. I can always go back if I don't like it.

I like the idea, just remember that it'll void your warranty.

I do my lanyard differently, I put it on a standoff. I could put on a higher standoff if I wanted to.

Have you ever changed stand-offs? I'd like to go with blue if I can find some, but don't know if I'd have to completely disassemble the knife to do it. I don't want to screw up a brand new knife but I like tinkering.

Changing standoff is easy, and you don't have to disassemble the knife. Just loosen all 3 a little, then take out he screw for one change it. Leave the screw a bit loose, and so the other 2 the same way. BTW, Rick has blue on his site right now.
