Christmas comes Early: 3" Slicer is HERE!!!

Changing standoff is easy, and you don't have to disassemble the knife. Just loosen all 3 a little, then take out he screw for one change it. Leave the screw a bit loose, and so the other 2 the same way. BTW, Rick has blue on his site right now.

Lone_Wolfe: just checked out his site. Only bronze for 3" XM's. I'll wait or search other sites. But I may get one of his lanyards.

I see, guess he ran out. They were available last week, I think. Not that last week does you a bit of good. :p
Now I wish I'd gone ahead and ordered a set for my EDC 3"

I've been searching everywhere. None to be found. None of his lanyards left either. Must be Christmas.

The only thing that sticks out is that because it was made to be ambidextrous both sides where the thumb goes are scalloped. So it is a little harder to reach over with your thumb to push the frame lock to close the blade. Does that make sense? With a Sebenza, for example, the frame lock side is higher. I'll get used to it. I can't keep from fondling it.

Rick designed it that way intentionally (and it wasn't about it being ambidextrous). By making the scale side the same profile as the lock side, it reduces the chance that your finger unintentionally disengages the lock.

More beads will be added to the official store. Including Ti. I'm thinking soon, but not immediately.

Standoffs and other items...the HUH (Heads Up) thread gets helpful posts when items are back in stock.

Nice knife! I like the yellow scale! As others have said, the 3.5" would make a great addition down the road. Enjoy and welcome!

For legal reasons, I keep blades to 3 or less. I live in the D.C. area so I am always driving across D.C. and Maryland to get virtually anywhere. Driving around with guns, even in the trunk, is tricky for the same reasons. Otherwise, I'd pick up a ZT 550 and a Kirby Lambert, both whose blades exceed 3". And then an XM-18 3.5".

The look I'm contemplating is bright blue scale with blue standoffs. I'd go for a blue anodized Ti scale, but I'm not sure how well anodized Ti holds up (to constant rubbing in and out of jeans).

The other thing I crave is the steel keychain Hinderer tool. The Ti one is in stock but a budget buster at this time. Unless I win the lotto.

The lighting is awful, colors would not reproduce worth a darn...it's only 24-25 degees...that is frost on the wood...but...

My EDCs (that can), do dawn anodized Ti...and it looks great after several months of pocket time and use.
