Got an 18inch AST and love it and I'm sure the 16.5 Amar Singh Thapar is much easier to get used to.
Wish I would have the $ right now.

I really like the ASTK in medium lengths like you see here. At 18" it's a little too massive for general purpose. I have a 15.5" one that has become my goto kindling splitter as my new house has a fireplace as well as an outdoor pit I put in.

Even 3 year old seasoned oak blasts apart with explosive violence. Am I crazy for wanting to see one of these little monsters in a 12" version? ;)
 
A horn handled bilton? i thought according to the sticky, Hi wasnt taking custom orders? My bilton that i ordered in Nov, is comming with wooden handles, there was no option to get horn, that would have been a nice option to have, based on how it looks here, and my 12'' sirupate i just got.

Are the sticky's out of date?

nah, fair is fair, i payed for a wooden handle one, not knowing of the option to get a horn handled one. i read the sticky here and assumed it was still valid. oh well next time:)
i will email auntie about updating the sticky though.
 
Love that handle too. The light colour and grain stands out from the rest of my collection.
