Christmas Deals for 12/9 -- Pix and KLVUK

Hopefully Slugger doesn't shoot the bearer of bad news but Yangdu said #1 is shipping to me tomorrow. My first khukuri. A couple of weeks ago Yangdu said these were coming in so I've been watching closely.

My wife says I always pick the wrong line at the grocery store so this was my one time lucky hit, sorry Slugger.

Should I have posted here when I sent Yangdu the email? Not sure what the protocol is.
 
It's not protocol, just kind of a courtesy thing. It's good to know so he can act on another one before they are all gone.

I'm gonna send him an email with the bad news so if he a shooter, well it's been nice knowing you guys. He seemed ok the one time I met him but you never know, ya know?

I don't believe you. I think deep down inside you want to strangle me:) I'm trying to help 3 different guys here at the same time and I'm like chained to 2 F250 pickups going in different direction and my shoulders are getting weak. I'm holding them so far, no go fords.

Heck we really don't even know, they might have all been gone hours ago and not marked sold yet.

There will be more for YOU and maybe for ME or my son too. Can we still be buds?
 
Of course we are friends. Like I said, your son comes first. My wife already wrapped 2 of kukris with neem wood handles up for my 2 boys. I'm set. It's not like you took the 2 all beef patties off my double cheeseburger when I wasn't looking. Now that would be a different story!

As you can see, the klvuks go so fast you have to be quick on the trigger.

Study this batch and a few others from the past couple of months. Decide your preferences ahead of time: longer or shorter, lighter or heavier, darker or lighter handle, etc. The next time a batch comes up you can pull the trigger faster and maybe get it.

It wouldn't hurt to email Yangdu and ask if she has another one available. I think that the actual difference between these knives is not that great. One might look slightly nicer in a photo, might be half an inch longer or an ounce heavier, but they're all pretty similar in your hand. I bought one of these when they first came out and what surprised me was how very comfortable it felt in the hand, which I couldn't have predicted from the information in the posting.

I absolutely never mess with a mans all beef patties. That would be uncivilized, even I have standards.
 
Uhhg, no worries boltface. I wouldn't hold it against a fellow gun/knife nut. I was late to this dance. Wish I would have been able to check at work. Just wasn't in the cards for me. I tried to cover the bases and emailed for a couple of the remaining but don't have a good feeling. I literally sent Auntie a mail asking for a Chiruwa AK the day before the last one went up on DOTD. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have none at all. Maybe next time . . . I'm headed to bed

We buy them and give them away to our friends and family then we shark again in hope one day we will get one for ourselves! I predict one day we will all have one too but for now ill use my wifes:D

Slugger, I'm retired so I do have an advantage in terms of seeing the DOTD posts closer to the time they are posted.
 
I just heard I got #5 for my son. Slugger did you end up with one of this batch?
 
I got an up offer email from Auntie on #2 with shipped price and paypal link this morning. I've sent payment so I've got my eyes crossed that I have secured #2 for my first kuk. What's a few oz. between friends . . . I'm happy that it looks like I got one
 
#2 is good. I think it's finally happened. You should have it by Friday. # 5 is headed here, probably be on the same mail truck.
 
I just got an email response from Auntie assuring me that you did indeed get # 2. Done deal.

AWW man am I too late for These :(. This snow storm business distracted me hardcore. I emailed auntie just in case.

I should have looked back, if Tedward or Tierra want # 1 they should have first dibs, they made a post first. I got one for my son, was gonna get this one for the other and it's the coolest of the bunch but I'm perfectly fine letting you guys have it.
I don't want to be a khuk hog.

Ted or Tierra send an email, be sure and mention I giving up my spot.
