Just got done eating some roasted duck and noodles. Before that there were egg rolls galore.

What did you all have to eat on this day before Christmas:confused:

Breakfast was a poptart.

Lunch was Chicken Marsala, at Olive Garden.

Supper was cheese and crackers.

Supper tomorrow is going to be our big meal, Beef Wellington!!

Christmas Eve dinner?...Everything. My sister is a pro. cook, and she went ALL OUT. We had everything from shrimp, to ham, to salmon, to 6 kinds of salad, etc., etc., etc. I'm so full that I can hardly move.:D.

Chinese take out. Napa cabbage with dried shrimp, spicy tofu and beef with tomato. Tomorrow is prime rib and king crab!!

My in-laws always cook any meat to complete submission. So, I had overdone Beef Roast of some kind. The sides were all good, made a brocolli dish that actually turned out OK. One of the sis-in-laws makes a killer mashed potato dish, I'm sure it has artery choking amounts of butter in it. Unfortunately had to leave before desert... my 5 year old was acting up way too much, and I snapped. At least she didn't puke in the car.

Tamales! My wife bakes cookies for the neighbors, and we get fresh tamales. Spicy pork, and cheese & chiles.

:p

BEHOLD!

Pink Salmon in Lemon butter Sauce
BBQ-ed (sweet n' spicy) chicken and ribs
Arroz Valenciana (sort of like Paella, a rice dish with everything)
Chicken fingers with sesame seeds with mayo-wasabi dip
Noodels in chickenbroth

dessert: Flan and fruits

Last night (Xmas eve) we had finger foods like sliced sausages, cheese, potato skins, mini pizzas, nachos, and mozzarella sticks. Today we are having a ham dinner later in the day:)

SCORE!! I love tamales, and would trade a truckload of cookies for a dozen good ones. Sounds like you have a great relationship with the neighbors.

tamales both red and green, rice, beans lots of sweets and all kind of finger foods--spent with good friends and family--was a good day:) :) :)

Last night, we fired up the BBQ and had steak, marinated in my secret mesquite sauce, baked potato, shallot buttered green beans (fresh), and a green salad.

Today, going to the in laws, and she's doing a prime rib (a cheap one, full of fat :barf: ). I'm cooking a black forest ham and taking it out there for my daughters and I to eat, fresh baked rolls and breads from a little bavarian bakery near me, and a few assorted salads.

We weren't very hungry so my wife VERY LIGHTLY seared a tuna steak and we dipped it in soy sauce and wasabe. :)

We have a 9 pound prime rib roast aging in the refrigerator (5 days) that we will have for Christmas and make French Dip sandwiches with the left over meat and juice. :D

We got together with a couple of other familes and somebody brought one of those chickens inside a duck inside a turkey ... (I've forgotten what those are called) that are put together down in Louisiana.
