Christmas gift exchange knife arrivals

Okay, I have seen pictures of it from the thread Cloyde posted so I kinda got to peek... :p

I made each of my daughters a 6 knife set of Viking knives with stone scales.... so, there are 13 knives under the tree that I know of. I just think it is nice to open gifts with my family around to share the joy. :D

Just jerkin' your chain:)I bet those will be some happy girls:thumbup:Merry Christmas

I got mine today. It is from Marcel J.B Morin and is a really great knife in bead blasted ATS-34 with an equally well done sheath. I will carry it with pride. I will try to post pics later if I can ever figure out how. Thanks a lot Marcel.

I didn't think that I had received my knife, but knowing that the mail carrier in my neighborhood is an idiot or just doesn't care, I reached way down into my neighbors mailbox. Lo and Behold!! There was a slip from USPS that my knife is here and waiting for me at the post office. Turns out that they had tried to deliver it and failed. Woohoo! I will pick the knife up tomorrow at the post office right down the street from my office!!:thumbup::D
I will not open it until I get mine finished (I feel like a total arse) and shipped.

Mine's here! Spangler, you outdid yourself. Dadgum awesome. Pics soon!

I got my knife from DP Knives. I had every intention of waiting until tomorrow to open it. That lasted about 30 seconds. My wife and kids were as bad as I was. There I sat, holding the box with those three sets of pleading eyes staring at me. What else could I do?? I HAD to open it......for the kids!!

Thank you thank you thank you Doug.
This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

Ed,
You have my permission to open it now. You don't have to wait. Just post some pics, I didn't have a chance to take any.

I got my knife in from James Roberts via UPS ground. Had a scare over it too. It was shipped to the school where I teach, which was of course closed for the holidays....and I'm not even in town as I'm on the mainland with my wife's family. I was worried UPS would deliver it by leaving it outside the locked front door in the parking lot. I've had packages stolen in the past when they did that. So I called UPS to ask if they could reroute the package, but no. The local office did say they could hold it until I get back. On a whim I called yesterday the 23rd, the day delivery was projected, and sure enough they delivered it on the 22nd at 7:45 pm and left it by the door. I freaked!!! Called a friend near the school and they found three packages outside: my knife, some leather supplies and a swordfish bill off of eBay. What a lucky break they were still there. Can't wait to get back and see my new knife...and finish mine to send Robert.

Happy holy days everyone, Phil

My wife and I just opened the knife Cloyde made for me and all I can say is WOW. The pictures he posted do not do this knife justice. It has incredible filework on the spine and it is well balanced.

I really got an incredible Christmas gift from Cloyde. We actually intend to use it and keep it in the decorative wood and copper display Cloyde made and shipped with the knife, as it's holder for when not in use.

We will use it for cutting and serving the Chrismas ham we are cooking for our family today. Thank you Cloyde....
