Christmas gift help

I have decided to buy two of my friends a good knife for Christmas. I have decided on the mini-Griptilian. Now my question is on the two types.

One has a thumb stud, the other has a thumb hole. Would the thumb hole work better for someone with bigger hands? I ask because I don't want to buy the exact same knives for each of them. One of my friends is 6'2 280 the other is 5'6 140. I have never used a thumb hole knife before either.

Also is there a utilitarian difference between a sheepsfoot blade versus a modified drop point blade? I like drop points and spear points, but I don't know much about the disadvantages of a sheepsfoot. Looking at it nothing really comes to mind, at least nothing serious...

My friends work in sales and attend college, nothing corporate though.

Also I am thinking about getting my sister this Swiss Army Knife. She is 16 and will be driving soon, I figure at the very least it would be a good thing for her to carry one of these in her car in case of an emergency or just when you need a pair of scissors, or a nail file (whenever that would be) or a good old blade.

EDIT: Went ahead and made the purchase, although feel free to give commentary anyway. Especially about the swiss army for my sister. Thanks!

I have bigger hands, but I'm not a fan of the hole.
The sheep's feet blade has a much thinner primary edge then the drop/spear point. But, they will sometimes take a better edge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grind
Just my 2 cents but a serated HG blade can't take a alot of abuse.

Ahhh I got plain edge for both. I have many serrated and combo blades, personally I have come to prefer the plain edge.

The hole's all about aesthetics for some, but yeah, no doubt is easier than a thumb stud for laaaarge hands, or if wearing gloves, or even if your hands are just really, really cold and have lost dexterity.

The swiss army knife for your sister? Great idea, that's the first knife I bought my sister, and she loved it.
