That's always been one of my favorite little touches about this line but I do miss the old 'Dog face' logo sometimes. They had already moved to this 'SYKCO' branding by the time I found these Bussekin blades but I've had a bunch I bought secondhand with the old log.

My 300 package arrived. Shipping weight 2 lb, actually package weight 13 Oz. Elmar custom slicer, looks like style 28. LOVE the mosaic pins. Looks like g10 scales with I’m not sure what on the back portion (help identifying?). I was kinda hoping for something like this but harder use infi, but this is a beautiful slicer hands down. I just don’t have much Elmax experience or expectations.

Ok guys I’m throwing it out there again. Do we really think this is camel bone? It looks like it has grain. It almost looks like a eucalyptus, but that’s not something I’m aware that Busse uses.

First of all, gorgeous knife. That’s stunning.

It’s darn hard to tell, I look at that and I see things similar to my scale but less grain structure. I wish I could tell be looking at the end grain somehow.

Anyhow, I love this grab bag catch. The more I look at it the more I love it’s unique almost woodsy look.

T Truthancisco looks like dyed and stabilized wood with G-10 liners.

For the Piglets here, these ELMAX Slicers never had a handle scale standard as I think they all come out of the Custom Shop (aka. Crab Shack). Each one is different. So just because one handle is wood/bone/fossil/magic doesn’t necessarily mean anything is guaranteed for a different knife. The only thing consistent is that they use ELMAX steel with a Busse heat treat. (To my knowledge, runs a tad harder than most?)
