Christmas is around the corner.. Beckers under the trees?

Don't tell my wife, but...

I'm really looking forward to getting my paws on a Becker/Reinhardt kukri or three... and another classic design that I keep hearing KA-BAR is fixin' to produce but I was sworn to secrecy so I can't say more... and pimpin' 'em THK-style.

Seriously.. You drop this and say nothing... Arrggghhh... Ah well gues it will come out soon enough.

I might order myself a new 10 as i modded my first one and would like to have a regular to add to my collection

the wife caught me eyeballing a 15 while i was internet shopping. she was way more curious than she usually is about knives. not sure what that was all about, but i'm being extra good the next few weeks, just in case.

Y'all need to be less subtle and more hint dropping! If the 21 is released before Christmas I'll drive to NY to pick one up for Santa to give me ;)

If not...It'll be a 'late' Christmas gift!

and jimpin' 'em THK-style.

fixed it for you. :D

But seriously, B2D, you lack a tweener. They're super excellent. I have now owned all three and am super impressed.

The reason I don't have a BK on my list is that I magically acquired a 9, 16, and 15 this fall, and the RBK isn't available yet!

I dont currently own a Becker, but my christmas wish list was mostly made up of a bk24, 11, and 9. Those were the only things of serious value I said I wanted.

And i just ordered a 15 because they are on sale all over the place and I just really wanted one. Needless to say this Christmas season is introducing me to beckers :-)

Smatchet ?

I'm hoping for a 10 or 17, maybe even a 12? To spread some Becker cheer myself, I've gotten my brother a 9, 15, 16, and 24 with some TKC handles on the 9 and 16. Now he can stop ogling mine every time he visits, LOL.

Giving one to my sister, brother-in-law and one of my nephews. Had to get one for myself too.

I wish I was on your list of recipients, you're a great gifter!

The bk12 is next on my list, but it won't make it by Christmas. Yeah, the 12 is definitely what I need next... or an 11... or both.

Get an 11! You wont regret it.

I used to be able to tell myself I don't "need" one, but every time I see one the voice of practicality gets softer and softer. And then I had to go and watch a video where Uncle Ethan says the 11 is one of his favorites =)

But then again, the 12! I think that is a knife I'd feel really good about if it was the only thing on me out in the woods. I do love my 16, but since I don't do any game processing or food prep with it, I like having something a little bigger.

My mother in law is sending me money that I just ordered a BK-16 with. :D I have been wanting one of these for close to 3 years now.

My first Becker--a BK2--should be waiting under the tree for me this year. ^_^

The rest of the family knows next to nothing about knives.
And I don't trust that anyone would actually know what to get me if they did.

I share a similar dilemma with the two of you. Given how excited I was to handle my BIL's BK9 at Thanksgiving, I suppose there is a possibility that my wife could pick one up for me. But I think she thinks I have enough knives for now.

However, I take consolation in the knowledge that I think several family members are pooling resources to get me a membership at a local gun range. :-)

Sadly, there will be no Beckers, or any knife for that matter under the tree for me this year.

When I picked up a Spyderco PM2 in early November, I could only get it under the pretense that it was my Xmas gift.

I still need a 4 though.

No Beckers on my list this year but I am hoping for something to help with my recently started knife making venture, like a small propane forge for heat treating. It's not cheap though so maybe not.

My wonderful wife has a BK14SR wrapped in the closet for me - I'm looking forward to that one!
