i personally would go for the rift as its just like my sheepsfoot griptilian with g10 instead of the cheap feeling valox handle and a thumbstud lol. gotta love the axis lock and its a pretty sexy/attractive knife imo.
the manix 2 isnt a bad knife either but ive read reports of the ball lock failing with over strikes (an issue spyderco is working to correct i believe?) i dont want to get flamed but i see the ball bearing lock as a wannabe axis. has a spyder hole thats easier to deploy the blade with gloves and a very nice choil to choke up on the blade for more control. its very similar in shape, size and "in pocket/carry feel" to a tenacious (which i never liked).
both of the above can be axis flicked, the rift is .2oz lighter, a little longer and a bit thicker.
the zt 0200 is a big liner lock knife thats 7.7oz... if thats your thing it isnt bad either. its uber tacticool
I prefer the Spyderco Hole as the opener, but you have a good list of knives there. Probably no bad choice, but what are your anticipated usage of your Christmas gift?
The Rift just didn't do it for me. The ergos were not good for me. The ZT200 is a bit heavy but is a tank of a folder. Mine is not assisted. I have no experience with the manix.
