Hey, I am planning on coming home for Christmas in December.
(As opposed to christmas in june)

I was wondering if we could try and have a mini-khon in Oklahoma or someplace??

Dan lives in Arkansas, I live in Dallas, Yvsa is in Oklahoma, I know some other people live in those parts.

Would something like that be possible ?

Sure. I'll be waiting by the Helicopter pad outside of town.

How far is OK from MT.?

Depending on the map: 3.07 to 17.44 inches. Approx.

That's a good answer, one I can depend upon. Good. Now, how many squiggles were in the road between MT and OK?

ok, now I know that there are at least two guys who live in North Texas.
We could all meet for lunch and khukuris, whaddya say?

I am in DFW area too and would love to have a khon close by. I cannot offer a place, but I can help out with fixins and some tree branches and trunk sections I'm collecting in the shed :D
Terry Sisco in OK, SamuraiDave in Waco, etc...

Wow! This would be awesome. I'd offer up my place, but it'll be cold for sure and camping room is all I got. 10 acres and a couple of forges might be tempting, though.

Maybe we could all descend on Yvsa's place? :D

ept777 lives in OK.

Here's a thought:

Khristmas Khukuri Khonvention at Danny's place.....the KKK returns to TX!

Yvsa,
can you think of someplace good that we could use?
I have a farm in mckinney that would do great, I suppose...

Maybe. I would have to ask permission. But first I would need to know how many are coming and whether there will be wives and kids as well. Kids would probably negate getting permission though. This is woodland that has a lot of it cleared for pasture land. Most of the rocks have been picked up but there are some camping areas left. We would also have access to a Sweatlodge so it would have to be respected and honored.
There are a few head of horses running on it as well.
Dan's would be better than my place due to size and length of time.
And Dan is right. It will be damned cold that time of year probably.
However I have seen it 70* and better on Christmas in the past. One never knows about Oklahoma/Arkansas weather.

:) *I* know where you are talking about Edutsi! Could you make it to Dans??

don't worry about the weather, Yvsa.....come rain or shine, if it's at my place, we'll arrange for you to arrive in style and comfort. ;)
