Cmon now. Everybody likes a tease.

The whittle turned out awesome  That'd be a good one in a scandi.

Pic number three- is that the knife I think it is?

Also, the grain on the snubby, particularly towards the lanyard area, is pretty intense

That first one is neat. It kind of reminds me of the beloved Schrade Drop Point Sharpfinger in a way.

Yep. That's yours. 0.960"at the swell.

The seventh one down - I want that one! Just shoot me payment details for it with a Talfuchre sheath!! ;)

What are the dimensions on that one - I like the angles.

It's beautiful! They all are!

Very cool  Looks great, do you happen to have a head-on pic (if not, no problem)?

Lots more pics. Thats what a teaser is all about. We had to go to dinner, so I didn't have time to post them all! I think the knife came out pretty nice! The maple really is firey.

Thats my original version of the collaboration between Rick and I. I've been calling it the Stubby. This is going to change, because I like Rick's handle shape better.

There is a thread Pitdog started that I'm going post the pics in.

Boy - that is close to what I am looking for in the Arete...

TF

That is the Arete prototype. I'm going to take more pics of it for you tomorrow. If you like it we'll pick some handle materials. I have some sweet black ash burl.

This one is for an order!

This one too. Bushie, 0.210" thick 01 steel. Customer request. Looks cool. I couldn't resist doing that runt. Then a customer requested the thick Woodsman, so I ground a lot of steel that day...

I'm definitely renaming my little Whitler knife. Just doesn't suit the function. I think its more a boot knife, or a Sgian Dubh in the hand. It would look really sweet with a false edge too. I did two.

That wood combo, EIRW and Paduk looks good no matter how you stack it.

All 4 Runts are available!

This Scandi Ladyfinger is cut from 3/32" thick 01 steel. Its wearing Shadetree burlap micarta by FOD, and I did blue red blue liners. This thing is a cutting nightmare. Its is available.

Carpscot!! Your EDC turned out really nice. I loved the Zebrawood. I put a mosaic in there to set it off. No charge.

Two available Nessmuks. This one has Osage over Walnut.

And this one has Bocote over Maple (its the 2nd one down in this pic. I missed getting it alone. I'll get one tomorrow):

And I'm kinda partial to this one:

Its just the angle. Theyre all similar. The scales on that one and the Osage is shorter than usual a bit. But same steel profile.

:D

Great stuff here.

Dumb question:

What do you lose, if anything, when choosing a scandi grind over your typical full flat or convex grind with convex edge?

That scandi ladyfinger really is giving me the eye...;)
