Christmas knives!

Only blade I received was a surplus Swiss military hatchet. These have been on the surplus market for more than ten years now. Haven't broken out the file or stones yet.

I got several to add to the collection. A Buck reaper, esee arrowhead, kershaw ember, and benchmade impel. Hope you all had a happy Christmas.

I recieved this GEC #77 Yankee Jack in Osage orange from my son this year. He knows Osage orange is my favorite material for knife scales!

 
Can't figure out how to post pictures. But I can say that I have a callused thumb from playing with my new Microtech Ultratech single edge that santa (my visa lol) brought me :-)
 
I carried Gerber MK II's all over SE/Asia. We used to get them for $19.95 at the PX. In thoe days they came darn sharp. The serrations are perfect for cutting and trimming commo wire which is an every day job in the field.

The old ones were sharpened better by all accounts.
I wonder if that's because they expected military personnel to actually carry them...I think most people getting them now are for collecting more than using.
