Who received a knife of some sort as a Christmas gift?

I got mine a little early. A good friend gave me his little Kershaw 1610 Centofante flipper last Friday. It's a little smaller than I would like but, I will enjoy it just the same.

In-laws gave me an SOG Salute Mini.

Maybe not the greatest knife in the world, but considering neither of them know anything about knives, they did ok within their budget.

I received one of @skblades "Goodfella" knives this year and I love this knife. It is a beauty and I don't want to put it down or let it leave my pocket. I have been carrying it in the slip I got with my BF knife as it makes for better pocket carry. I also found that the belt sheath/case that came with this knife fits the BF knife fairly well.

There have been a couple of these threads so far, but they never get old:)

My wife and daughter got me a Schade Manila Folder balisong. However, I heavily hinted at and gave an online link of what I wanted:D My wife did strike out on her own and got me a really handy Boker Minibar to go with it. Her thinking was, swingy-twirly-stabby knife needs something practical to go with it. 4" of steel for various prying and scraping save me from even thinking about subjecting a knife to such abuse. Honestly, for holiday chores of freeing toys and installing batteries (and fixing a few odds and ends around my mother in law's house), I have been well served by adding in my old trusty Skeletool CX.

...but the balisong is getting the majority of play time:D

I know i have an Amazon still waiting in my stocking from my mother in law. We're waiting on opening our stuff until my brother in law gets here tomorrow. I suspect I'll have 50 bucks to blow, so the hunt is on. What do I "need":P

My dad got me and my 2 brothers cheap “Husky” sets with a back lock box cutter and back lock blade made in China. He bought us all SAKs last year and started me on knives as a kid (I am 48). I will use them both but will go in tool boxes etc. Both are crazy heavy for the size. Grateful none the less.

I bought my dad and both brothers Stihl chainsaw sharpeners with the integral round and flat file that knocks down the depth guage with each pass. Simple design but works impressively well. Google it - off brand that show on searches probably made in same factory.
