Christmas Loot!

New guy here!!

I got a SOG Twitch II from my In Laws, have been wanting this model for awhile. I am very impressed with it so far.

This will replace my old model Spyderco Rescue as my EDC. Less chance of scaring the sheep in my office.

I took some pics, forgot to wipe the oil from my fingers from the blade, duh.

Three Sebenzas fell out of Santa's pockets when he was in my house. A large blue dog paw Sebbie for me, a small silver dog paw Sebbie for my wife, and a small plain regular Sebbie for my EDC.

dalefuller: How awesome is that?! CONGRATS! That is great that you and your wife received Dog Paws Sebbies! Why aren't you going to EDC your Dog Paws? I have my small one in my pocket as I type this.

I received a BM610 Rukus and a Mora 780 Triflex Craftsman. My first Mora and I'm impressed. The Rukus was the sharpest out-of-the-box BM that I've received to date.

Also, my daughter bought for me one of those $9.99 Home Depot special sets, a camo puch with a liner-lock folder and a multi-tool. I was surprised at the "quality" and nowhere did it say where it was manufactured (I KNOW where it HAD TO BE made, but it was nice that it wasn;t smeared all over the tools!!!). The folder's edge wasn;t quite up to snuff and I was anticipating having a hard time sharpening it. Not so, it buttered right up to a nice level of sharpness!

I gave my girls each: a Mora 760MG for Mama and a 760CAMO for my daughter. My better half used her Mora last night to slice the ham!!!

I got one too!!! :D

Stretch, I have two 610's and both of them came sharper out of the box than any other BM I've ever received. Heck, they were sharper than about ANY knife I have received!! Glad you finally got the 610.:D:thumbup:

Hi Boats,
How do you like the Buck 419?

I love it. It's definitely the best looking folding knife I own, since most of my folders are Spydies.:D Came razor sharp, with rock solid lock up, perfect liner lock engagement, no blade play vertically and horizontally, and the scales are color and grain matched. Everyone who has handled it suddenly wants one. At just over $100.00, backed by how Buck does business, (refurbishment for the price of shipping and insurance), this knife is a steal. My six year old son has already asked if he can have it when I am "too old for it."

Last year, I had bought a folding Alpha Hunter with an ATS-34 blade for my nephew, and played with it a little before wrapping it. Though I normally avoid liner locks, that knife convinced me to plant the suggestion to my wife that the Kalinga was a great present to me. I am certainly not disappointed in any way.

I am now keeping my eye on Buck in the $75.00-$200.00 price range because they give you a lot for your hard earned dollar compared to some others.

Around Thanksgiving, I received a free broken-down Boker 2040 with Ceramic blade and Titanium handle. I thought it might be a lost cause ready for the trash. Sent it in to Boker USA, and they sent me a NIB 2050, same handle as the 2040, but with a razor-sharp 440C blade, for free! Hopefully, they give the 2040 a decent burial.

I've been watching your Avatar... and your sig line. Both top-notch.

Carolyn will EDC her small Sebbie. The only reason I don't EDC the large one is that it's the "large" one. It will be my travel / hiking / camping carry. It's just a tad large for pocket carry and use in the places I usually use a knife on a daily basis. Don't worry... they won't be drawer queens.

They both have pocket pouches, but I'm going to order the CRK belt sheath for the large one along with some of their grease. I've tried Militec, Break-Free, and Tuff-Glide. I like Tuff-Glide the best for pivots and Break-Free for blade coating, but I'd like to see how their stuff performs.

You know Dale, I thought about it being a large one, being the reason you aren't carrying it. I understand that completely!! Yeah, the small IS perfect for EDC.

Thank you kindly on my sig line & avatar!!
