It would be more pleasant to stick slivers of glass in my eyes than have to endure that. Not to mention it would make me smarter too.

LOL, now that's how I feel about Christmas music in general! :D

My favorite Christmas movies are Die Hard and Lethal Weapon.

Ditto on the above, along with Die Hard 2. I also like The Long Kiss Goodnight too.
Behind Enemy Lines is OK for the holiday as well.
Then...there's always Gremlins! :D:D:D

I'm cool with it the day after Thanksgiving. When I was in High School I worked part time at a local DQ. We had a stereo in the dining area that we usually had a radio station on. I found a Christmas cd in the back room and decided to give it a go. To my surprise, customers didn't seem to be in the holiday spirit. In their defense, it was August.

Not exactly Christmas music....but made me laugh.
I just picture a group of Christmas Carolers breaking out into dance as they pass this house :-)

I have to admit, even though I don't like listening to it for very long, non-secular christmas music is my favorite

Wow....... and here I was thinking that I was the only person in the world who's favourite Christmas movie was Lethal Weapon...!!!!

Just yesterday I went up to my local shops to drop off some dry cleaning and they were running a fundraising BBQ at the front of the supermarket..... bacon and egg rolls.... mmmmmmm..... as I approached I noticed a group of people setting up with santa hats and music stands...out loud I said...."if they start singing I may just go postal" ...as if on my mark..... "SIIIIIIIIIIIILENT NIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT........" When I ordered at the BBQ I asked for a bacon and egg roll and a silencer please..... the guy was right there with me....!!! Unlucky for him he was there all day.... ;)

I bet this time of year is hectic on people who have OCD connections with bells :D "Sorry officer, I have OCD and every time a bell rings, someone gets knocked out"

Since it it the time of year when my seasonal babysitting work duties are coming to an end until spring, I am a nut for Christams music as soon as any radio station or cable station has it available (those are my only time frame limitations). The minute I hear my first Christmas song, all I can think of is how nice the winter is...quiet, no customers, no employees, less headaches, and the stress goes away fast enough to make you cry.

Unfortunately, the bastards usually stop playing Christmas music around the second week of January:mad: This can only mean one thing...spring is on the way:grumpy:

BTW, Burl Ives is KING, and Lou Monte should be part of the HOTRT!

Okay, so I was rocking out to some Christmas music an hour ago and a recurring thought took place. In the song "Winter Wonderland", I've always heard the lyrics:

"In the meadow we can build a snowman
We'll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say, "Are you married?"
We'll say, "No, man but you can do the job While you're in town" "

And wondered what in the world does this mean? What is the job? How is this job relevant to them not being married? Someone help a brother out :D

Christmas music has been here for a while in this area. Our local Wal Mart has been playing Christmas music since the Black Friday sales started and a few radio stations have switched their playlists to nothing but Christmas music.
