Christmas Party EDC

The Boker WharCom in my coin pocket got a big workout today on packaging, and the little Leatherman ES-4 makes short work of all the stupid tiny screws that kid toys are required to have. And the Photon light on my keychain helped me find the one escapee little bugger screw that of course went right under the furniture.

No Christmas parties for me. Headed to my sister's for Christmas dinner. It is something I do just about every year. Thanksgiving is optional. I'll have my Steel Will Mini Cutjack in M390 and probaby the LionSteel Small Opera in stag with me. May take a couple fixed blades as her husband is a knife knut.

You asked what people do who need a knife and don't have one... hey, anyone have a knife?

what did you use your Christmas party EDC for?
I don't think I've ever used a knife at a Christmas party...I've done a pretty good job of avoiding them through my adult life. Last one was 2004; before that, who knows??

Might have to go to one (or more ) next year; but I'll believe that when I actually find myself there.

Sticking with my new birthday, ivory micarta Damascus 110, all Christmas long!

The 110 really is just a great all around knife, and since I'm wearing jeans with a belt throughout the foreseeable week, sheath carry is of no concern, and the white micarta is Christmassy enough, goes with red, green, silver, and gold, and new yearsy enough as well to go with anything.

[/ QUOTE]

Last minute change up as we head out the door this Christmas afternoon.

CS Finn Wolf this morning, and a Martiinni at friends’ yesterday (they’re all knife-savvy folks, so no frights).

Used my Ritter mini grip most of the morning to open all sorts of packages. I'll be at a family gathering tomorrow and more than likely will be carrying it there as well. It's a helluva slicer.

* I'll take a picture of the little bugger tomorrow.

My oldest son & I had similar EDC knives today - Kershaw Dividends, with mine being the M390 version.

Other than some tape on a couple of boxes that he cut, that was all we needed a knife for.

I don’t know why this guy posted in French, but I will translate since it is christmas and everyone should share their christmas knife stories.

Translation

O olivier2a73 Il y a presque personne ici qui parlent francais. Mais tu as comprendre le question, allors pourquoi post en francais?

Translation of above. “There aren’t many people here who speak french, but you clearly understood the question, so why post in french?”

Hi, sorry I did not want to post anything. but my computer was open on this post and my little girl touched lol. by her manipulation, she made a quote from the previous mail. Sorry again. the text was in french because I use the google chrome translation to browse your beautiful forum. good continuation of corsica.

My family and I went to a Christmas/ Birthday party last night and had a great time. I pretty much carry the same gear on me everyday, hence EDC. I carried a mini barrage, leatherman blast, and a thru night t10. I used my knife at least ten times cutting open things people. I used my leatherman for a bottle opener and replacing some batteries in some lights. Then had to use my light when cleaning up afterwards. So my question is how do people get by without carrying the correct tools and what did you use your Christmas party EDC for?
Someone else usually has one
