Chronic flippers..How many times a day?

owww... Countless times... All day long...
and there's another chronic thing that I do all the time...
I NEED to slice paper with my knifes...
People call me "The Shredder"

Yep, that sounds about right...

Constantly. It is an addiction. Not only do I flip, but I also will un-sheath my Izula, check the edge (as if it were any different than the last time I did this), and re-sheath. Rinse and repeat many times throughout the day.

Same, any fixed i have on me gets pulled a couple times an hour, and i flip like they'll be no tomorrow. i probably flip 100 times a day.

I would be surprised if anyone who frequests this forum for any length of time does not "knife-sturbate".

I'm guilty - but not as often as some of you.

Usually at night when I am finally sitting in front of the idiot box to relax.

No hair is growing on the palms of my hands yet.:D

I flip the Kershaw Blackout constantly. I can't pick it up without flipping it. It's mind-consuming.

I'm guilty too, more lately than usual between the blur and Suma flipper I just picked up. Used to be just slowly opening my A100, hearing the thunk of it locking, then closing it up again. Did it on a date once, thats not a wise decision took a bit of explaining and verbal fumbling to recover from.

Just when you hang on to the blade and flick the handle downwards so it opens and locks.

I like to put my index finger through the hole, and my middle finger just below it, on the jimping, then flick the handle downwards.

Whenever i have a knife in my hand. I'm notorious for doing it with my grippy. People get annoyed with me though... i even change grips and how i operate the lock open and closed haha.

I've always had a.d.h.d. really bad so I have to have something in my hands. If im out with girlfriend or something else (somewhere opening and closing a knife constantly would be weird) I'll have a stress ball in my hands just playing with it. Or if i have my leek in my pocket I'll play with the lock.

at home though I do it all day everyday. (.....I mean the knife I swear)

I thoght I had a bad habit. Turns out I just have a habit. I love flipping and closing my Cold Steel recon 1. It opens smooth and has a load authoratative click.

In better weather, when walking the dog, I'll cycle a knife. The average is ~25 cycles/5 minutes, which is 1500 cycles/hour. The dog walk is usually around and hour and a half, so on a Sunday afternoon that can be 2200-2300 cycles. The knives that get this are a few of my 710s and Manix 2s. None show any lock wear, by the way.

+1 same here, my Izula is always in my pocket so after I've flipped my knives half to death I'm compelled to check the edge on my Izula. ;)
