Chubby vs. Techno

Thanks for the pics. God the Chubby is ugly:eek: Love the Techno and currently have 2. After thinning the grind a bit it cuts very very well and it is a pleasure to use. Since I rarely do long cutting sessions with small folders the grip is good enough for me and it carries well in the watch pocket of my trousers.

Absolutely love my Techno but I hope to pick up a Chubby at some point.

Great review and pictures.

Thanks for the photos, Ram.

I never warmed to the Chubby and wondered what I would ever use it for.

Without any jimping, it always felt like I was going to slice my finger.

BTW, mine was a decently smooth opener.

You know, I didn't like the Techno at first, but that little bugger just kind of grows on you, doesn't it...

My reaction exactly at first.

Suggestion: If you don't care for the backspacer, there's a guy here on the forums who makes great standoffs as drop-in replacements.

Added advantage: Opening up the Techno to install the standoffs also helped eliminate a certain stickiness to the lock.

I am (was) torn between the two. In fact, I was leaning towards the Chubby, then I saw the clip. Thanks for the pictures and comparo....
