I was hoping to get this for xmas but the budget has been dispensed on the kids. I was wondering if someone that has this dvd would let me borrow it for a week or two and then I would return it to them. I will paypal $5 to cover the shipping to me. If concerned, I will also paypal the cost of the dvd and you can refund me upon it's return to you. Thanks Chris

Chuck Burrows is a hard working craftsman, who has helped many people with sheath making, myself included. Please do not borrow a DVD and copy it, thereby cheating him of what little he makes from the sale.

If you have specific questions, contact Chuck. He is usually more than willing to help.

I did - he didn't respond. I figure he is a busy guy. I asked him if he knew anywhere to purchase the DVD for cheaper than the $45 on Knifekits.com. I am hardworking as well- many of us have had to borrow things getting started on a new venture.

Texas- I saw those on there. Might have to check them out. Still can't validate $17 just to rent the sheath vid though

Not worth 17 dollars to you?

Dang.

The video will save you much more than 17 bucks in time and leather.watch it atleast 3 times.

I can also vouch for the value of the dvd. The problem with any specialized media is that not enough people want the dvds to make them cheaper than those costs. I'd just save up and get the video if I were you, $45 is what center cross sells them for too. Chuck doesn't make the DVD, CCI Videos does, it's out of his hands unless he wants to give you one of his copies. He has also published several tutorials on sheath making, so maybe start with those until you can afford the video.

All right. Thanks guys, you talked me into waiting. I will buy a copy after xmas.

I watched it several times and got more than my $17 out of it. Loads of great info there, plenty to get you started but in the end, the best way to improve it to make more sheaths. Also, there are several forums that Chuck reads and responds to on a regular basis. He's extremely helpful and always willing to share his knowledge.

Thanks, and Chuck did respond to my inquiry. I'm just gonna buy it so I don't have to rush watching it.
