For Trade: Chuck Gedraitis Damascus Letter Opener

This is a piece I commissioned from Chuck a few years ago. I told him what I wanted in general terms and he took it from there. The result was this interframe dagger.

Steel is Craig Barr Fiddleback pattern damascus. Blade is 4”, OAL is 8”. Blade is ground right to the edge top and bottom on both sides. I wanted it just for desk duty opening envelopes so there is no secondary bevel and the edge is not sharp.

Inlays are black lip pearl and there are six in total. The two large ovals on either side and two small discs on each side in the middle of the carved lines.

There are some small patina spots, shown in the pics below.

The leather slip sheath is also Chuck’s work and fits beautifully.

I will include the can of Ren Wax shown. It’s practically full since I’ve only ever used it on this knife and a little goes a long way

Side A

I don’t necessarily have something particular in mind for what I’d like to get in return, other than I’m not looking for more damascus or anything fancy. I’d prefer to have something I can carry and use. So whether it be production or custom knives, nylon gear, pens and the like, partial trades plus cash, multiple items in exchange for the opener, make me an offer. Worst I can say is no.
