I have not made a slip joint in a while so in order to keep my skills sharp I challenged myself to make a swing guard.

The blade is 3-3/8 in long made of 154CM. The main bevels are hollow ground and the false edges are flat ground. The guards are Chris Marks mosaic damascus. The bolsters are Dan Seaver Explosion pattern damascus and I hid the bolster screw for a cleaner look. The scales are black linen micarta. Overall length open is 7-13/16 and 4-1/4 closed. Great walk and talk with a half stop.
Price is $550 delivered.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

I love it, and nobody ever makes custom swing guards, and I wonder why. That was a great idea!

The first swing guard I ever saw and really took a liking to was my Dads old Case Cheetah which I still have. I was facinated how the guard would swing out when opening the blade. Seeing a custom of this design is a beautiful thing to see. Well done Chuck !

Very cool, never saw a design like that before. The guard completely changes the character of the knife.

You produce some very nice offerings, Chuck. If this had been a locking knife, I'd have been all over it.
