Too rich for my blood! . I smoke a pipe though and do love cigars but because 1x 50gram tin of top quality pipe baccy costs me £13.50 and a single good cigar like a monte cristo or a cohiba is like £20 for a small one!

One thing I don't get though is those people who smoke a cigar only on 'special occassions'. How are you supposed to appreciate the subtle and rich flavours of something that is so foreign to your palette? Same with pipe smoking, and the fact most newbies get tongue burn easily from a pipe. Same goes for good whiskey too, repetition is the best practice to enjoy something that is rare or costly. Even cheap cigars and cheap whiskey are better than nothing and then once a year a good one to really appreciate it.

My daily drinking is not alcoholism or depression, I'm training my palate!

What'd you think of that Monte?

Wally, the White Vintage had all the characteristics of a good Connecticut; 'cedary' sweetness, pepper, touch of cream, with some unexpected graham cracker at the midpoint. Great construction as you'd expect out of a Monte. p.s. Your PM box is down.

What was the pepper level like?

Thanks for the heads up. Seems that my subscription had lapsed.
