Just spent an hour yesterday with local dealer Paul Vandine looking at his wares. I met him at a comfy location after he had emailed me and asked what I'd like to see. He has a new Tim Herman Sliver(small) that I think is fantastic. I also wanted to see a Jason Cutter to assess his work. You hear good things about a guys stuff but until you handle it you just wonder. Paul brought both pieces he had and Jason is now high up on my list. Perfect execution, great hamons , and excellent balance. I am a big fan of Kirk Rexroat since I bought a "Laramie" at the 1st ABS Expo in Reno. This is one of the finest knives I have ever handled. Paul has a fixed blade 52100/mokume/giraffe bone that I am going to make mine unless someone else is really fast on the draw. These are the knives I asked to see and he brought 10 others just for fun. The experience was great and he is a knife nut just like the rest of us. I look forward to doing some business with him . Thanks Paul

Thanks for the tip Mike. Some interesting reading. I do most all of my knife business in person with a variety of personalities. I post info on people I think would be good to deal with . The others, unless criminal intent is involved, I keep my mouth shut. I plan to do business with Paul with no reservations based on my personal interactions. To each his own I suppose.

Neither of those searches will work because they both contain words of less than 4 letters. Try searching for Vandine.
