Civivi Crit: The Swiss Army knife killer??

I have 5 Swiss Army knives. This isn’t a competition. I like to explore all types of knives and I certainly don’t crap on knives because of where they’re made, like SOME do… because last I checked, some of the best knives on the planet are coming out of Reate, Kizer, Civivi/WE, and Kansept. But people can puff their chests out about their SAKs. I wasn’t trying to trigger you with my thread title, just wanted to promote discussion.
Why do I get the feeling like I stepped in gum here.

Again, not worried, not "triggered". You wanted to promote discussion, I offered my thoughts, you misread them, I clarified. I have nothing to prove here, no reason to puff out my chest. Perhaps you are looking to trigger someone? Either way, I'm just offering my thoughts, I have no desire to argue. Honestly, IDGAF. I have many friends here on the forums that enjoy knives made in China, and I am happy for them for it. Likewise, just as I said in the first place, if you enjoy this one I am happy for you. IMO it is not a SAK killer to answer your question. If YOU feel "triggered" by that assessment and want to "puff your chest out about it", more power to you. Use it in good health.

Fair enough?

Don't forget reversible clip for the wrong handed among us. I was intrigued by this when I saw it on KnifeNews especially since I don't have any jade G10 in my collection. It's a little above the random expenditure budget however. Do you think it's worth the asking price?

Yes, I’ve been carrying it for two days now. I think the extra cost is because of the multi tool. In single knife form, this is a $50 Civivi but this is new territory in the two blade format. There is a little flex when squeezing the knife hard, so the G10 might be more sturdy. I find myself flicking out the multi tool portion most for fun.

Also, my comments about blade play is rescinded. I tightened the pivot a little.. no play, and still flips with ease.

The price is high, but it keeps me from carrying a SAK for a backup so it’s worth it for me.

Victorinox has nothing to worry about. Civivi will never have the name recognition Victorinox has earned over decades of making a fantastic product.

I'm glad you're enjoying that Civivi, but like other Vic fans here have said, I'll pass.

Oh, well two days is definitely enough time to be able to claim it's a "SAK Killer".

Victorinox most likely isn't even aware these exist, and definitely aren't in any sort of market danger from Civivi. If that were even possible, they'd have been "worried" when Boker, SWIZA, and countless other companies large and small all ripped off their sty...sorry, "created a similar product" over the years.

Ah, damn.. you’re right. I need to schedule a climb up Mount Everest, an African safari, and a Grizzly hunt in northern Alaska before I render a verdict. Silly me!

Now.. who is “following” who again? ;)

Rent free, baby!

Our friend Removed really brings the crowds. Now that he has commented, I expect no less than 3 or 4 acolytes of the cheddar to comment.

Huh, ok then. Responding to a thread that's relevant to my interests in GKD is "following". Got it. I apologize for upsetting you.

Removed seems to be of the opinion that people aren't allowed to have opinions that disagree with his own. Curious.

Anyway, I've reported this, since your overly emotional trolling doesn't belong in GKD. :)

Oh, my bad. It’s only “following” when “I” comment on threads you post in. Thank you for setting me straight.
