Liked the sweeping tanto... But needed the upswept. So here it is! Still can't get over this "optical illusion Damascus"!
But the more I handle this blade, the less I feel it's an "upswept"... It interestingly starts off at a negative angle, so the tip actually terminates roughly at the handle's centerline (exactly the same as the tanto), and the spine never goes "up"... So it's really like a giant clip point the length of the entire blade!
It's kinda like a blend of the useful belly of an upswept and also the point utility of a clip or drop point. I like it!! Thanks J Jim O'Young for a really cool blade design!
