Samsung is moving its factories out of China and is building a factory in Texas. I just bought a new Samsung Active4 Pro tablet to replace an iPad because of this.

...are you holding bemchmades warranty up as a good thing? As its trash really. Its literally the reason many have wrote them off completely (im sure political donations, and firearm destruction didn't help). The chinese cant be worse than benchmades 100+ dollar blade replacement, etc nonsense. Those not buying china knives due to political things are absolutely free to do as they like, but its worth pointing out that almost half of the USA believes that the USA is currently engaged in human rights violations, so.. i guess maybe buy tiawan/german/japanese/english/etc only from now on.. you know, to be consistent in your feigned outrage.

(Fwiw i don't believe the nonsense the USA is pushing back against to be said violations, but as i said, half the country does.)

Having purchased a large number of budget knives over the years, some of the Chinese companies are pretty good in this department. I've gotten replacement hardware or even replacemet knives sent to me for free from some Chinese companies and others have charged very little. For instance, Kubey sent me new liners for free when there was a defect. When I stripped a pivot screw and it was my fault, I paid $7 for them to send me a new one.

Sometimes, the Chinese service is quite competitive. For instance, I've needed two replacement clips in the last few years. Kizer charged $5 to send one from China. I forget how much it was but Spyderco definitely charged more to send one within the United States. Shipping from China took longer but it was somehow cheaper.

Of course, some Chinese companies have either bad or no customer service. So it really depends. It can be good to check on individual companies here. For the record, my experiences with Artisan/CJRB have not been great. They eventually made things right as rain but it took a huge amount of effort on my part over the course of several months to get there.

Man you need to chill. I just asked a question and you're talking about my "feigned outrage". Talk about projection!
The only thing that might "outrage" me is the fact that you are quoting me in your crazy rant.
