A raffle.
It was decided upon via poll and discussion. About 87% of our membership who voted choose raffle.

The exact details are currently being decided upon. The process will most likely vary a bit over what we have done in the past.
Details will be posted long before ticket sales actually start.

Kevin,

I looked but didn't notice his "logo" in the engraving. That's pretty neat and must say the engraving adds a lot to the project. Really looking forward to seeing what Wolf adds to the mix. Thanks for your efforts in bringing this knife to fruition.

Hello Jose, here is Barry's "HANDS" signature....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Well gents, there it is on the cover of the August issue of Blade Magazine.

That ought to give a boost to the promotion of the benefit for Lung cancer.

I just saw this thread and wanted to say, thank you so much for doing this this year for lung cancer. I was diagnosed with Non-small cell lung cancer, adenocarcinoma, stage IV, on February 9th of this year. I am 39 years old, never smoked and with no history of cancer in my family. Too say the least it came as a huge shock. I will be at the Blade show next week and would like to say thank you each of you personally but I also wanted to thank you in this thread.

Sorry to hear that Mica. Your feeling well enough to attend Blade Show is encouraging.
I would like to extend you an invitation to attend our CKCA Banquet on Thursday night as my guest. There, you can meet this year's cancer benefit team all in one place and be one of the first to see our knife.

If you are getting into Atlanta on Thursday and are interested, PM me for the details.

I want to thank Kevin Jones and the CKCA for their hospitality at their banquet and at the Blade show. Kevin, it was a pleasure meeting you and thank you the opportunity to meet and thank all those involved in the lung cancer benefit knife (including you).

Micah, thank you.
I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying your courage and positive attitude is inspiring to us all. We really enjoyed your company at the banquet and and around our booth. We are here for you!

This knife is incredible, even better in person than in the great pictures we've seen. A great cause, and a great knife, props to the CKCA for doing this...

Kevin,

Congratulations on this wonderful project and your adept management of it. Was very glad I got to meet you at the show, and wish I could have met many others who post here--seemed the time flew by in a blur.

I also wanted to thank you for providing the stunning selection from your collection for show goers to enjoy, in support of CKCA. The Fisks alone were worth the trip.

Best to you,
Will

Kevin,

is the raffle "fully subscribed" at this time?

Having handled this knife, I can only say that if tickets are still available, I would urge everyone to buy a ticket (or more:D)while you still have a chance.

The knife is AWESOME, and the cause couldn't be more worthy

Hi Will.
Finally putting faces with the name of folks we often communicate with almost daily has always been one of my favorite things in attending shows.
You could probably tell that when my face lit-up when you identified yourself.

This was an extremely busy and productive Blade Show. I even got one very nice knife for myself. Picked up a couple nice pieces for one of our overseas CKCA members.

I'm glad you liked my Fisk display. They were the knives that were in David's Book. Larry Bailey was kind enough to let me use his beautiful cases.
It was great meeting you Will.

Hi Bill.
Yes, there are still tickets available but they are moving daily.
We have currently raised over $12,000 for Lung Cancer Research and still have about seven weeks left before project close. That's almost half way to our $25,000 goal.

We realize a $100 is a lot of money for a raffle ticket even though it's a very beautiful and valuable knife and an extremely worthy cause.

You can go here http://www.lungevity.org/ckca and donate $10-$20

By the way Bill, you sure helped our cause at the CKCA Banquet and we thank you for that.
