Just to set the record straight, there's no conspiracy or bias to limit our knife offerings for our CKCA Mini-Shows to ABS Knifemakers and ABS style knives.
Since the majority of the CKCA membership is made up of ABS knifemakers and collectors who lean towards ABS style knives it should be no surprise that
that our show knife offerings would reflect this.
If any CKCA member knifemaker would like to participate in a future annual CKCA mini-show, the process is to send an e-mail stating such which will be forwarded to the member who is managing the selection process for that particular year.
We would be very pleased to have more stock-removal and Guild member knifemakers and collectors as members as the CKCA exists to promote and increase awareness, acceptance and collecting of ALL Types & Styles of Custom Knives.
Our CKCA projects are directed at promoting all types and styles of custom knives, for example:
We have made much effort to insure our CKCA Calendars represent the broadest range of custom knives possible.
We have had two "CKCA Club Knives", a forged Integral Hunter by Karl Andersen and a Stock-removal Loveless Style Boot Knife by Charles Vestal.
Our $100,000.00 CKCA - Jerry Fisk Cutlery Challenge for example, where only one out of three selections was an ABS style knife. Also our national add campaign was directed at all custom knives as shown below.
