CKCA Mini Knife Show The Knives - 2013

Thanks for the link Rick. I looked at the site and will check out his knife offering at CKCA and also his table at Blade this year. Not far away eh! Never have made the mid Ohio show but might in the future as it is one of the few that I have not attended over the past 32 years.

Handle - Stabilized Amboyna Burl
Spacer - is a segmented spacer consisting of stabilized burl woods - Maple, Walnut, and Redwood that are sandwiched between two pieces of Maple Burl.
Steel - Damascus 528 Layers of 1095 & 15N20 by Sean
Guard - 416SS
Pin - 1/8" Mosaic
Blade Length - right around 4 1/2"

Sheath - Leather (made by Sean)

The segmented spacer idea is a first for me. I'm sure someone has done it before but it is new to me.
Lastly the spine of the blade is fileworked from the guard to the thumb ramp. Oh and the top false edge is not sharpened.

Engraving Deep relief with 24kt gold inlay

Blade - Don Hanson's W2 forged and clay coated
Guard - 300 layer 1084/15n20 random pattern damascus forged to shape
Buttcap - 300 layer 1084/15n20 random pattern worked to match stag shape
Spacers - Copper, G10 and Ohio Pipestone (Native Americans used this stone for ceremonial pipes)

Overall Length - 12"
Blade Length - 7.75"
Include leather sheath by Burton

Chuck, great images of the Ruth sub hilt, but having seen it for myself I can say it is better beheld when held. I got a good preview at Fisk's shop visit. Looks like it will be a great event.

I've been really excited to see what Terry came up with. As usual, he DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I can't wait to see these up close!
 
Above is the line-up of knives that will be offered at this year's CKCA Banquet-Mini Show, which takes place on Thursday Night May 30 (night before Blade Show).
This will be our 5th Banquet which has become one of the major events of Blade Show.
