Hey all, I hope this is the correct section to ask as there is no Custom Knife Factory section that I could find.

The morrf 4 is a grail of mine and I was just wondering if anyone had ever bought a garage sale item from CKF before? Any pics, stories, links to a thread about it, or anything would be appreciated!!

I picked a Tegral for $275 from their Garage Sale. Loved the knife but wasn't willing to drop $475 for it. When I saw it for $275 I had to jump on it. It shipped the next day and arrived 9 days later, not bad considering it ships from Russia. The knife is great, excellent fit and finish, smooth action, solid lock up, etc. I'm very glad I ordered it and will be on the look out for future garage sales.

There is no CKF because they have not asked for one to be set up. There are no "fan forums" here, rather manufacturers need to request a forum from the owner, they then work out the details. Since this is discussing purchasing experiences rather than the actual knife, I'm moving this to Feedback.

$275?! I picked it up for $300 and I thought that was a steal! Either way, I'm excited to receive mine. Can't wait!

I can't speak to the Garage Sale piece, but I will say that the Morrf (I have a 4 and a 3.2) is an absolute steal at their regular price. They are flawless IMO.

I picked up a CKF Sablya for an insanely low price of $111.00. It was so cheap I was apprehensive to order. It was discounted because of scratches, according to the site. When I got it, the knife was perfect in every way, other than one small scratch on the handle. Nothing that wouldn't happen naturally after carrying the knife for a time. Those garage sales are worth checking out.

Just got my garage sale Morrf 4 into today. Came with two carrying cases, certificate of authenticity, a microfiber cloth and a CKF chocolate. Honestly I cant really tell whats wrong with the blade for it to bascially/ allegedly be a factory second. It may be un centered by a hair and that's with me starring at it and looking at it from every possible angle. The only other noticeable thing on the knife is that theres a few blemishes on the stonewash on the blade. But I have to hold the blade at the right angle and right lighting to even notice. I have zero regrets saving 95 bucks on this knife, and if its truly your grailI doubt youll have any regrets jumping on this knife at this price.

I asked and garage sale knives are certainly NOT factory seconds. They just have the most minor of imperfections, like an off centered blade or a hairline scratch.

Which would make it a factory second... Its not up to their standards. If it were it be full price.

I guess you're right when considering the general definition of factory seconds. When I think of factory seconds, I think of uneven grinds, or even bad lockup. In my mind, calling these extremely minor imperfections "factory seconds" is unjust, but that'd just be arguing semantics. I feel as though there should be two different terms or a rating system or something!! :)
