Robert,

On behalf of the members of the Canadian Knifemakers Guild I would like to thank you for yet another indepth look at our show! Great job my friend see you at the next one!

YEs Wolfe made the Stag handled bowie on his table, it was his latest piece made for a great collector. It was a fantastic piece, but we would expect no less!

I would aslo like to make note that two of the makers in this review acheived their Voting Status at this show

Elizabeth Loerchner and Rick Todd!

Congratulations to Paul Savage for passing his ABS junior smiths performance test at the show!

Last but not least I would like to publicly welcome Neil Ostroff To the CKG as its newest Honorary Member.

Thank you to all who read this thread and especially to those who took the time to come down and enjoy our show in person.

Regards

Excellent review! I attended the show on Saturday and you captured everything I saw in your photos.

It was very nice the meet fellow makers, along with collectors and customers. If all goes well I will have a table next year.

Wow, I am exhausted but that was a lot of fun!

Thanks Robert!

...and I miss that collaboration sword most of all...

Great review, Robert.

Congratulations, it seems like you had another excellent show.

Best Regards,

Really enjoyed your pics and comments. Knife shows will never go away because they physically bring together people with similar interests. However, without the web those people (us) would have a hard time developing and sustaining relationships in the ever-broadening knife world. Often knife-nut friendships begin on the web and get solidified after meeting in person at a show. The two work together in powerful ways that are only just beginning to be explored successfully. But there will always be a place for knife shows and by extension, great show reviews like this one! Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the info Rob, was a pleasure meeting you :) Will bug the girlfriend later for the pics so I can upload them ;)

Shame I only arrived around 2pm since so much of it was sold- oh well, live and learn. Next year I am sleeping outside ;)

Awesome review, thanks a lot...... looks like you made out VERY well. That Lightfoot is incredible although the FCF Rematch would have tempted me sorely. :D

After the show and board meeting, Kirby, Greg and I headed to Duff’s Famous Wings (the originators of Buffalo wings) for some of their Armageddon 850,000 Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) sauce.

Great coverage of the show! However, being a pathetic Buffalonian, I felt compelled to correct you on this one... The Anchor Bar is the home of the Buffalo wing.

That being said, you guys went to the best place to get 'em, in my book... Duff's has the best wings, in my opinion.

Really digging the stuff at Paul Savage's table! That chopper looks right up my alley!!!

Thanks for taking the time to share...

lol...i am well aware of the feud between Duff's and Anchor bar and have eaten at both...in my humble opinion, Duff's is WAYYYYY better :)
