Clarence Risner has passed

Never had the pleasure of dealing with him. But my condolences go out to hid friends and family

Condolences to the family.
IIRC, he was president of the NKCA some years ago. Been in and around the knife business for decades.

I enjoyed buying from him both Queen and S&M
If he did not think the quality to be high enough he would not carry it on his site

RIP

I didn't have any direct dealings with him, but I knew the name. Sad to see the good ones go...

RIP Clarence! Bought a bunch of S&M knives from him over the past years, always a pleasure to deal with.

I've purchased many knives over the years from Clarence and had some interesting conversations with him along the way. An interesting gentleman to say the least. His like is unlikely to be seen again. Godspeed, Clarence.

I have also purchased several S&M from Mr. Risner and was always pleased with his level of customer service. Will miss him. Travel well Mr. Risner.

Clarence was always a gentleman and an honest dealer. I've spoken with him several times and he couldn't have been friendlier. The Schatt & Morqan Premier line was his SFOamong many others.

Condolences to the family.

Yes, he was the 6th NKCA President, in the early 2000's. He carried it through a lot of financial trouble and kept it going as long as he could.

I never had the pleasure of meeting or dealing with him but my condolences to his friends and family. He sounds like a great man to have known. RIP.

Sorry to hear about this.
I only bought one knife from him, but he was very kind and accomodating.
Condolences to his family and prayers for him.

Thanks to everyone who had wonderful things to say about my grandpa. He absolutely enjoyed knives, but he enjoyed making and building friendships more than he enjoyed a knife. Grandpa taught me a lot about knives and the community of knife dealing and collecting. I will never forget the memories we made. I now run his company. Feel free to call or email me anytime you have questions. Thank you!
