Here is one of my Explorer models with a classical look. The stainless steel Damascus comes from Gerome M. Weinand of Missoula Montana and a is in a nice rain drop pattern. The two stainless steels are AEBL and 304 and the blade is hardened about 60 Rc while the guard and pommel blued carbon steel. The choil in front of the guard is large enough allowing the index finger to choke up over the guard and into (acting like a sub-hilt) for fine work or when things get slippery. The handle is elk antler and the knifes tang goes all the way though the antler and is screwed to the pommel.
