Classic or Regular...which is your favorite?

This really has noting to do with the topic at hand but I didn't want to start a whole other post to put this in. I went fishing late this afternoon at the lake. I take my small classic because I always carry it. Well I get it out to cut some line and after I make my first cut I put it on the bench beside me. This little thing I'm fishing off of has a bench on it so you can sit down while you fish if you're lazy like me :D. Anyway my mother went with me and she hit my Sebenza with her pole and it feel into the lake  ! I had to go on and get it. I got very lucky and found it. I thought that I was going to have a heartattack or something until I found it. Thanks for listening, I had to tell someone who might understand what it was like. Back to the subject at hand.

My large classic has the classic handles w/o pocket-clip and the regular blade (w/o the pointier blade)....it looks similar to the regular benz's blade in the picture. Regardless, it fits my hand better (and my hands aren't very big). I do carry a small regular and seem to like that as well, but my favorite is still my large classic.

Did you buy that off of James Mattis at Chai?

wow....I can almost see that happening...glad you found it!

For a small knife, it's definitely the classic. I just yesterday received a small reg. sebenza, and it was traded off for a classic one literally within 24 hrs. I had difficulty closing it, there was so little room to access the lock bar, and my thumb kept slipping off the lock. As soon as I tried the classic, I knew it was an improvement. I have had no problems whatsoever closing it, and I've been playing with it for almost an hour now.

For a large knife, the only ones I have are two regular sebnezas, but they don't present much of a problem, although the front scale could be machined a bit wider where you access the lock.

I carry a small regular in a G2 sheath every day. This knife has been used for many different tasks, and has yet to leave me asking for something else :D

Not sure off the top of my head, I bought it on E-bay almost 3 years ago. Regardless, I just like this knife. I'll also second G2's sheaths, if you "have" to get a Sebenza, you NEED a G2 sheath!

Chairman Moe or Cutiger 3, what is, and where do you find a
G2 Sheath?? Do they have a website? If I'm not carrying my Large Regular Sebenza in my pocket W/clip, I've got it on my hip with a nylon sheath.

Classic, baby, Classic! Sexy, curvy blade and ergonomic handle (love that "saddle" contour on the top).

I like the looks and blade of the classic, but the feel of the regular. Looks like I am outnumbered. Makes me curious about what the Reeve shop sells more of - classics or regulars?

I'll second what Chris said, for exactly the same reasons: small classic, large regular.

The Classics for me. I like them all, but love the look and shape of the Classic handle. The pointier blade seems to come in handier for my uses also.

the blade on my old ats34 Sebbie and my brand new regular model
are exactly the same shape and size. i prefer the regular
model. i find the look and shape of the handle more pleasing to
the eye and more comfortable in the hand.

It's my knife so....opened up the gap for the thumb on my regular to look and feel like the classic. Now I love my regular classic! Sorry, Chris, I had asked if I could have a classic made with a with a regular blade (more belly) but you said no.

My favorite of the lot is a large regular with a wood inlay. Fills the hand so nicely and greatly improves handle comfort. I also prefer the looks of the plain regular to the classic. Just can't get by the large cutout for the lock.

I love them both. I got them both. But - to be honest, I use the regular every day, and keep the classic with its nice leather inlays as backup.
