CRK is reintroding the Classic Sebenza.

Here's one, next to a standard lefty:

And a bit of detail:

They'll be available in Large and Small. The first 50 of each will be available only as matching numbered pairs. They were taking orders, of course.

A-a-a-a-a-a-a-r-r-rg-g-h!! Chris, why are you doing this to me??!!

Okay, let's see, I can sell the cat to the medical lab for experiments, sell a pint of blood a week, live on soda crackers and water...

Nice!! Great pictures James, thanks for keeping us abreast.
I have an old model and prefer the handle shape and profile over the new.
Now to find out if they will be available with the new computer driven decorations, also if the blade is old profile and size.
Chris knows how to push our buttons!!!

Notice the lack of a clip on the Classic?

Thats cool, hope that means we can look forward to clipless newer models as well?

Gary, I dont know if they did away with the clip or not? The picture shows a right and left hand model and the large photo is cut off just at the point where we might be able to see part of a clip. ???? Is the clip there James?

Sorry guys... I could have tipped you off about this Classic 2000, but I promised Anne not to say anything.

Looks good, but I'm going for the small Fly instead. (I still haven't learned to use the name Pheasant Tail)

NOW we're talking. Finally the old style handle back. My prayers have been answered. Now what's next? The undecorated tanto version? Hint, hint, hint...

It doesn't look quite right without the polished blade. And clipless would be sooooo nice

I have only handled the new version. Can anyone tell me why the design was changed and what are the advantages of each? I assume CR must have had a reason to come up with the new design, but at this point I can only guess what it might be. Thanks in advance for the help.

That smooth transition to the front of the scales where the forefinger rests is definitely a plus. The current models with those little "humps" in the cutout area are a bit uncomfortable and do not provide a solid feel for the forefinger to plant itself on. I think I' ll be getting my first Sebenza soon. Oh yes, there is a pocket clip on these as depicted in knives Illustrated April 2000 issue.

Set number 20 will reside in San Francisco, where they belong. Of course, I’ll also have to hold on to the old styles I currently own as well, they are true Classic Customs.
