I put ALOT of time into this fine exquisite piece. The handle material came from none other than the distinguished knifemaker from Alaska, Mark Knapp.
This is premium blue mammoth ivory, very beautiful, see for yourself. This is a very solid piece, should last a lifetime. Thanks for viewing!

Steel Material: D2 Industrial High Speed Tool Steel
Steel Thickness: 5/32"
Blade Length: 6"
Overall Length: 11.25"
Bolster Material: Pure D2
Pins: Mosaic "star" pattern w/ brass liner/tubing & assortment of brass/stainless small pins.
Handle Material: Premium Blue Mammoth Ivory. Origins: Alaska (10,000-20,000 years old!)
Sheath: Kydex "Cross Draw"

I've got SEVERAL hours into this knife. Atleast 24+ total, I wanted to make the most out of the Blue Mammoth that Mark Knapp sent me. Check him out sometime, he has really nice stuff. I'm heading out to Colorado next week to start planning a build on 40 acres. Need a quick sale for the trip.

Price is $280.00 Shipping is 8.00 extra in 48 CONUS. Sheath is included in price. Please do not be confused w/ the price, this is an extremely sharp, extremely long lasting & extremely high quality piece. Very high quality. This should be a bargain to the savy knife collector!

Please enjoy viewing this classic, fine piece. Comments are welcomed. If you guys haven't already, CHECK OUT knifemaker Farid's D3 & D6 tool steel knives, he has quite a display of what serious tool steel can accomplish.

Hey Guys. LOL Oneill I knew someone would bust me on that. As I tell all my customers, buy it for the knife, not the sheath. It's real sturdy Kydex, by all means I agree w/ you on that one. The Blue Mammoth just screams for tradition. In all fairness, I'm doing my best to provide a value to the customer, hence the thick Kydex. Watch your language next time (just kidding :).

Gregorio, Most of my knives are on the thick side. My choppers hit the .250" 1095 & .270" D2 in thickness. This knife is .15625". This is the same thickness I use in my traditional hunter models. Believe Bob Loveless was real fond of 5/32" thick steel...If someone would be kind enough and PM me a message, letting me know how to add additional pictures on this blog, I'll be more than happy to do so friends.

Appreciate everyone's comments sincerely, more are welcome. Enjoy the weekend folks.

Seriously functional and Beautiful! Now there's a blade to slap a beast around with. like the cross draw kydex if you're gonna use this one & love that blade shape. I can see a leather sheath too but it maybe just for home/show, IMHO. Congrats, BB!

Knife in the middle is the blue mammoth. Knive near the bottom is one of my .270" Choppers, knife on top is an old, original SOG Tigershark production knife.

There's a small void near the rear mosaic pin, it's a hairline void that does not extend through the marrow/thickness of the handle. This handle is rock solid, most 10,000 + year old mammoth naturally has voids.
