I have one of these I got when I was young back when they were introduced in the early 70's that has seen a lot of use. It's been a great knife. This one I've had on display and kept the box in storage. It is in unused condition. Great classic knife would make a great gift for a young hunter. Catalog advertises blade as high carbon tool steel - $100 ($105 goods)

Sorry, just had to write something. I also had one of the original USA made ones that I used for 30+ years before giving it to the son of a friend, an up and coming hunter.

Can't believe you have a new one in its original box! That would certainly be a treat for any young man. Fantastic knife that always produced a very fine edge. Just keep them coated with Balistoil or beeswax and they'll literally last a lifetime or two!
