I forged this from 1084, and it was clay quenched. The handle is some nicely figured Black Walnut. The guard is a hand textured copper, and there is a 1010 and copper spacer on the handle as well.

The butt of the handle is also carved and textured, just to add a little extra to the piece. The are also a few forging pits and hammer dings in the blade, but thats the look i was going for.....

Measures 16 5/8'' over all, and has about 10 3/4'' of cutting edge. The blade is 1 1/2'' at the widest point.

Dang Andrew , that is awesome . Love what you did with the copper . I would have called it " The Alamo Fighter " that is what it reminds me of . Of course I was not there that I know of . :D
 
thanks fellas, it is 1/4'' @ ricasso, and full taper to the tip.

sorry for the shabby pics, i will try and get that close up.

btw, i am giving a very fair price on this as it's getting close to the holidays.
