Ok I did my first re-pin and did not have access to any razor blades. I am trying to do the loosening procedure from your site, but it does not seem to be getting any looser. Am I gonna need to get this pin out and start over? Please help me...Clay or anyone who has experienced this.

I found sections cut from a can of MGD are a good substitute for razor blades when repinning. The metal is thin so you want to insert a section on both sides of the blade when you shroom you pins.

I think you just need to work the joints a little longer and it should loosen up...but maybe Clay could tell you more....

I found opeing it so that one handle stuch straight back from the blade, and one covered the blade was a good set up. Next, bend slightly back and forth as if trying to pry the handle up and off the blade. Do it gently one one handle, then the other. Go back and forth to get even seperation. Worked for me.

Afee got the fix for ya'. Try what he suggested. It should loosen up after a few twists.

If however, that doesn't work, then you'll have to re-pin.

I'm screwed! Ok i got the pin in too tight and cant seem to loosen it. Decided I needed to repin but cant get the pin out. I tried cutting off(which didnt work) then filing down one side. Then I tried banging it out, didnt work. So I tried cutting, filing, banging the other side and really messed the handle up, probably still works but looks really ugly. Now both sides are pretty smooth and if it loosens the pins look good, but it doesnt work so that doesnt matter. I guess I am gonna be buying a new knife and still trying to work on this one.

Does it sound to yall like im screwed? Or have I given up to quickly?

I deffinitely learned that if you dont have razor blades DO NOT try to repin!
